Autobiography

My name is Kabdelova Ulzhan Samatovna. I was born on May 1, 1986 in the Akkystau village, Isatai district, Atyrau region. My father, Samat Kabdelovich Kabdelov, held various senior positions at "Zhaikmunaigas" JSC, the last position was the chairman of the trade union committee. Now he is retired. My mother is Tusekenova Kulash Lotovna, a primary school teacher by profession, a teacher with many years of experience, her last position was the head of the correctional center of the Isatai district. She is also now retired. I received my basic secondary education at the Akkystau secondary school in 1991-2003. I graduated from high school with honors. In 2003 I entered the Department of Korean Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU, at major "Translation Studies". In 2006, I did a language internship at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies located in Seoul, Korea, under a student exchange program. I graduated from the university in 2008 with honors. From 2009 to 2011, I entered Hanyang University in Seoul under the KTnG scholarship program for master's degree program. From 2008 to 2011, I worked as a translator for the Korean company HSnK. From 2011 to 2015, I headed the Office for International Academic Mobility Support in the Department of International Cooperation of al-Farabi KazNU. In 2015, I entered the doctoral program at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. Currently I work as a senior lecturer at the Department of the Far East.
